Jason is a director based in Los Angeles. He grew up in a Chinese Southern Baptist family in Sacramento. By the time he was 22 he became an orphan. Much of his work discusses family, loss, and Asian Americanness. His stories examine the quiet internal struggles of everyday people as they navigate the complexities and contradictions of modern day life. He loves traveling and wandering through metropolitan cities and romanticizing the life he would have if he lived there. He is enthusiastic about fashion, 808 kicks, trap snares, and theology. When he’s not doing those things he is an armchair General Manager for the Sacramento Kings, doing urban dance, and a ramen snob.
